There’s a city by the lakeshore, with a river runnin’ through. When you stand out on its Diamond Point, the world comes into view. I thought I could only be here, when the season’s green and fair. If I stopped to hear the murmur of trees, I’d be filled with quiet despair…

Oh, Bemijigamaag. The crossroads of stillness and its flow brings this seeker to your shore. Oh, Bemijigamaag. Help me, never ask for more.

I have tried to sit, soak up your scene, and it becomes a major feat to not jump in your hidden rapids, chase down your mighty stream. It’s your mystery. It’s why I’m here, how you embody what can be. Your surface still, your river not, all together... bound and free.

From the four directions of the wind, you brought me here to know a place inside, this rested whole, that takes the shape of home. I’m makin’ my wish: what’s left in life, help me live it more like you. Help me taste the pines, hear the eagle’s cry and still carry it all through.
